New social security regulations will soon become effective. As a result of one of the amendments, even if the entrepreneur is in arrears with payment of contributions or pays only a part of the contribution, their sickness benefit will not be cancelled immediately. However, one should remember that the benefit will be paid to the entrepreneur only after the debt has been settled.
The editorial team of Dziennik Gazeta Prawna asked Attorney Kajetan Bartosiak to comment on the new regulations. In his comment, our legal counsel explained whether a payer who did not pay social security contributions and thus cannot receive maternal benefits, will be entitled to receive the parental benefit paid by municipalities.
