Beata Baran PhD


Attorney-at-law, Doctor of Juridical Science S.J.D/Ph.D

Specialist in the field of labor law, compliance and whistleblowing. She has extensive experience in handling international transactions.

She supervises, on behalf of the Client, conducting criminal business law proceedings regarding white collar crimes with a total value of half a billion zloty.

Assistant Professor at the Law and Administration Faculty of the Jagiellonian University, earlier associated with the Management Faculty of AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow.

Member of the Krakow Bar Association.

Author of numerous publications on labor law, penal executive law, disciplinary proceedings, access to public information and human rights. She publishes in Polish, English, and Ukrainian.

She defended her doctoral dissertation in 2016 at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University.

She conducted researches in Heidelberg (Carls-Ruprecht Universitat Heidelberg), Kiev (Kyiv-Mohyla Academy) and Sofia (St. Kliment Ohrydzsky University).

An alumnus of the Ukrainian Law Programme held by the Jagiellonian University Law School, Ivan Franko University of Lviv Law School and Kiev-Mohyla Academy Law School and an alumnus of the 9th edition of the Academy of Young Diplomats.

Actively supports young scientists and law students; in the past member of the ELSA International Board (Brussels, Belgium) and the National Ph.D. Candidates Association.

Participant of the 21st  Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (Geneva, Switzerland) and 4th Forum on Minority Issues of Human Rights Council (Geneva, Switzerland).
