With Coronavirus pandemic restrictions being eased and more sectors of the economic being revived, businesses want to make the most effective use of the coming months.

To minimize the risk of downtime, some employers are choosing to modify the holiday schedule. The industry website prawo.pl looked into the issue of changes to leave schedules. Kajetan Bartosik was asked to comment on the matter. The BKB attorney at law explained that the ongoing pandemic is not a sufficient basis for most employers to change the holiday leave schedule, and if an employee’s holiday leave has to be postponed, the employer is required to cover the direct costs, while in such a case the employee should take steps to minimize the costs.
