The draft of legislation on the protection of whistleblowers assumes that the person who reports irregularities will be protected against retaliation on part of the employer. However, this protection may be excluded in certain cases.
Dr. Beata Baran explained in the “Rzeczpospolita” newspaper whether ignoring the internal reporting channels and public authorities and disclosing the information about potential irregularities in the given organisation directly to the media may result in the fact that the whistleblower will not be covered by this protection.
