Bartosz Soloch, PhD., LL.M.
Legal counsel, Bartosz Soloch, PhD., LL.M. Prior to joining BKB, he worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as the Deputy Director of the Legal Office and the Legal and Treaty Department. Consul of the Republic of Poland in Berlin. Earlier, at the Office of the General Counsel to the Republic of Poland, he completed the career path from counsel’s assistant through referendary to the counsel at the General Counsel to the Republic of Poland. He also obtained his professional experience at a renowned Polish-German law firm.
During his legal career, he advised public and private entities as an independent counsel and in-house lawyer. The advisory and representation services included issues related to labour law, commercial law, and procedural law that are important for the functioning of enterprises. He participated in the legislatory process. He specialises mainly in international and European law. Apart from Polish courts, he also represented the Republic of Poland and the State Treasury before the Court of Justice of the European Union and international investment arbitration tribunals in proceedings, where the value of the subject of the dispute reached even hundreds of million PLN.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the Warsaw University, where he also completed the German Law School organised in cooperation with the Bonn University and a post-graduate studies programme in European law. He received the LL.M. title magna cum laude after a scholarship at the Deutsche Akademische Austausch Dienst (DAAD) at the Bonn University. Under the supervision of Prof. Anna Wyrozumska, he wrote and defended the doctoral thesis in international law and European Law in the English language. He completed scholarships at the universities in Bonn and Cambridge. He participated in numerous leading legal conferences as a panel speaker and taught as a visiting lecturer at foreign universities, e.g. in Columbia. He is the author of numerous academic publications in leading Polish and international journals.
He has fluent knowledge of English and very good German.
