The expert of our law firm has become a finalist in the competition “Rising Stars Lawyers – leaders of tomorrow 2022”. Łukasz Łaguna was among 35 distinguished lawyers who will compete for the title of Leader of Tomorrow 2022.

Łukasz Łaguna is a specialist in complex labour law cases, with a particular focus on issues of discrimination and mobbing. He also focuses on the law of new technologies. He teaches at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University and attends the Doctoral School of Humanities of the Jagiellonian University. At our law firm, he coordinates the BKB Academy project.

The competition, organised by Wolters Kluwer Poland, is addressed to people under 35 years of age. The nominated lawyers are distinguished by their broad expertise, significant professional achievements and responsiveness to market trends and combining their professional careers with academic work. The social commitment of young lawyers was also highlighted in this year’s edition. This is of course due to the special situation on the Polish-Belarusian border and the war in Ukraine.

As Włodzimierz Chróścik, President of the National Council of Legal Advisers, emphasises, the Rising Stars competition already has its reputation:

“For employers, it is a litmus test – a sign of quality, information about the fact that a given lawyer or lawyer does his or her job excellently, is ambitious, courageous, and committed. After all, these are some of the most desirable qualities in a professional career. For the winners and awardees, on the other hand, the laurels in the competition are not only a form of recognition of their achievements, but also a motivation to take on further challenges and confirmation that they are on the right track.”

The final gala, during which the results of the competition will be announced, will take place on 23 November.
