Poland has only four and a half months to adopt whistleblower protection laws that will implement the EU whistleblower protection directive into Polish law. The regulations should come into force on 17 December 2021, however the legislative process is still ongoing.
In the material prepared for Agencja Informacyjna “Newseria”, Beata Baran, PhD explained main assumptions of the EU directive and suggested how entrepreneurs can now prepare for the implementation of internal whistleblowing regulations in their companies. The BKB expert discussed the main components of the whistleblowing system and pointed out the need to train employees and stakeholders.
