The crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic has forced some companies to decide on reduction of employment and ask themselves a question whether group layoffs can be extended to people on parental leave.

Wojciech Bigaj, attorney-at-law, commented on the issue of protection against dismissal in Puls Biznesu, explaining how the situation of an employee returning to work changes at the end of the protection period.

Mr. Bigaj also drew attention to the key moment, which is the admission of an employee to work, as well as the fact that not every dismissal of an employee can be classified as liquidation of a job position.
